FUCK YOU, UTAH.
(SPECIFICALLY REP. TREVOR LEE and SEN. DAN MCCAY)

TREVOR LEE
Utah HB77, introduced by Rep. Trevor Lee (R), makes Utah the first state to ban the pride flag in schools and government buildings. The bill became law after Governor Spencer Cox (R) failed to veto or sign the bill. While the argument has widely been made that the bill does not specifically target pride flags, Lee has made his intentions clear:
When asked for comment, Lee called a reporter with The Salt Lake Tribune a “race baiting activist” and said to “never contact me again.” In a separate email, he said The Tribune is “communist scum.” Lee later confirmed on social media that his proposal “would ban Pride flags from schools,” and added: “Parents could sue the school district if it’s violated.”
Lee has previously made posts on his personal social media accounts attacking the LGBTQ+ community and criticizing the use of pride flags,

DAN MCCAY
When a trade publication published a report citing a Sundance Film Festival insider saying the law could hamper Utah’s bid to keep the festival (spoiler alert, it did), Senator Dan McCay (R) took to X, responding with:
"Bye Felicia...
“Sundance promotes porn
Sundance promotes alternative lifestyles
Sundance promotes anti-lds themes
Sundance does not fit in Utah anymore.”
